| CORPORATE NEWS NEWS HEADLINES The first Corporate Professional Development Seminar for NASJA corporate members took place at Bretton Woods with Tracey Stevens of VOCUS discussing the topic: "Measuring Public Relations for Marketing Success." Approximately 25 corporate and press members attended the morning presentation, which offered discussion on the many on-line PR management applications that are available to maximize media exposure, including Database Management Solutions, Distribution List Building, Media Contact Searching, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for press releases. As PR investments are integral to the success of today's leading companies, the seminar also included ideas to accurately measure the ROI of PR and Marketing. A successful PR program is not about getting a binder full of clips, it is about getting a handful of clips that are right on message and will positively influence the success and bottom line of your Resort. Feedback was positive on not only the seminar that took place at Bretton Woods, but the idea of providing additional corporate development seminars at Lutsen for 2009 and Tamarack for 2010. Topic ideas for future seminars: Broadcast Video, including distribution, format and delivery channels; On-Line Media Rooms, just the facts and downloads. If you have any further topics that you would like to see covered, please contact NASJA Corporate Representatives Tom Horrocks (thorrocks@killington.com) or Dax Schieffer (dschieffer@bigskyresort.com). |
