Dec. 16-18 Meeting Gore Mountain Ready to Welcome ESWA By Emily Stanton NORTH CREEK, NY – Preparations are well underway for Gore Mountain’s hosting of the December 16-18 ESWA Early-Season Conference and Meeting. While the traditional ESWA weekend itinerary will be featured, exciting added-value experiences such as double cocktail receptions Friday evening, unveiling of the first official ride on the Gore Mountain Ski Train, and ballroom dancing lessons will highlight this pre-holiday weekend.
Gore Mountain’s rampant growth over the last few years has also been reflected around the immediate region, spurring the recent opening of more accommodations, shops, and restaurants. As a result, this is the first ESWA meeting Emily has ever had the pleasure of hosting in North Creek, the same place she calls home. Capture a first-hand look at why skiers and riders are recognizing that Gore is a mountain on the move. This winter’s acquisition of 130 more high-efficiency tower guns and another groomer will ensure the best snow conditions possible, while a complete renovation to the Tannery Pub and the installation of a new outdoor grille offer modern new ways to recharge for your next turns. If Mother Nature is ready to show off Gore’s extensive gladed terrain, which include the longest glades in the East -- the Cirque on Burnt Ridge Mountain -- tree skiers can give it a try. The Copperfield Inn is our primary meeting host, while the Alpine Lodge almost directly across the road will offer equally GORE-geous accommodations and is also welcoming all meeting attendees to an early Friday wine reception. Meanwhile, the Saratoga-North Creek Railroad will call All Aboard! on Sunday morning to give us a sneak peek of its Gore Mountain Ski Train opening on December 30. Come experience all that makes the Gore Mountain Region a better winter destination with every passing ski day, including the completion of our Interconnect with the Historic North Creek Ski Bowl, the recent opening of Burnt Ridge Mountain (one of our four unique peaks), and the vibrant growth of our business community. Gore is home to the most skiable terrain in New York State and 2537’ vertical. After departing from a wonderful weekend here, we know you’ll have plenty of story material and that you will be back for MORE GORE. __________________ |
